About Me

Hello, I'm Ashley, owner of Ashley Parkes Clinical Nutrition.

I am a Clinical Nutritionist with a Bachelor of Health Science in Nutritional and Dietetic Medicine from Endeavour College of Natural Medicine, and I am accredited with the Australian Natural Therapies Association. I have worked in the pharmacy industry for over 10 years which gives me a unique perspective to draw on the strengths of both traditional and mainstream medicine.

From a personal perspective, I have had to navigate my own health journey. I've experienced fertility issues and I had to utilise IVF to conceive. I am also currently 'hurtling' through perimenopause and the many unexpected health issues that may come with it. My own experiences have instilled in me a heartfelt desire to help others discover their healthful selves, and inspire them to be strong advocates in that process. I look forward to working with you.

My Philosophy

As a nutritional medicine practitioner, I believe that food is medicine and that a healthful lifestyle can help prevent and manage a wide range of health conditions. As a "foodie', I have a great love for food and for the power it has to feed our body, mind, and soul. I want to help you discover how a nourishing nutritional lifestyle can feed every aspect of your life.

I use evidence-based research, combined with traditional medicine, to offer balanced, holistic treatment plans. I understand that each person's journey is as unique as they are, and my role is to help you to achieve optimal health and vitality through personalised dietary plans, lifestyle modifications, and ongoing support that empowers you to achieve your goals.

My areas of speciality include women's health, hormonal health, fertility, preconception care, pregnancy, postpartum care and breastfeeding, menstrual irregularities, PMS and PMDD, endometriosis, PCOS, perimenopause and menopause, gut health, food intolerances and allergies, pain and inflammation, fatigue, sleep issues, nutrient deficiencies, and weight management
